Proper aftercare is necessary to prevent any unwanted infection or side effects from developing. Patients will receive a thorough aftercare instruction sheet after their treatment. Below are just a few of the aftercare tips patients should keep in mind.

  1. 1) Keep the treated area clean and dry during the healing process. Gently cleanse the area with soap and water and then pat to dry. Cover the area with a thin layer of ointment and sterile bandage up to 3 times a day for 3 days following your treatment.

  1. 2) Blistering and scabbing are very common side effects. Do not be alarmed as blisters are positive signs that your immune system is removing the ink from your tattoo. Allow blisters to naturally pop and scabs to naturally flake off. DO NOT forcefully pop or pick either of these side effects. Doing so can lead to infection and scarring.

  1. 3) Apply a cold compress to reduce discomfort and inflammation. Tylenol can be taken for additional pain. Avoid taking Aspirin as it can increase risks of bruising/bleeding.

  1. 4) Showers may be taken as long as high-pressure water is not hitting the area directly. All other soaking
