Laser Tattoo Removal Overview

Why Tattoos Are Permanent

Tattooing involves the placement of ink pigment into the dermis, the deepest layer of skin. Your body’s natural immune system detects this foreign material and attempts to remove it almost immediately. Ink particles are far too large for the immune system to readily carry them away. As a result, only small bits of ink are carried away over many, many years causing only some of the ink to fade away over time.

Laser-Ink Interaction

During a treatment, our Astanza Trinity laser emits ultra-quick pulses of light energy directly at the ink particles without harming any surrounding skin tissue. The ink particles in the skin absorb the energy, heat up and break into tiny fragmented particles. These tiny particles are easier for your body to remove naturally.

Over the weeks following each treatment, your body’s immune system will dispose of the tiny ink fragments through the lymphatic system, causing the tattoo to fade in appearance. To achieve complete ink removal, multiple treatments are necessary. Each session with the laser treats the shallowest layer of ink and works deeper and deeper into the skin until all of the ink is removed.

The number of treatments needed is dependent on a variety of factors that are unique to each patient and their tattoo. Evicted Ink uses state-of-the-art laser technology and advanced protocols to help remove your tattoo in the fewest number of treatments possible.
